Wasp Nest Guitar

When we moved into our new house, I found a couple of old wasp nests in the loft. I managed to get them down and immediately thought, wouldn’t it be cool to use these in a guitar?
Fast forward a couple of years, and after being told that if I didn’t do something with them they were going in the bin, I finally got around to making these two.
Both nests were set in epoxy alongside pieces of ash burl. For the 6-string, I kept the nest natural, while the 7-string got a black-painted nest set into yellow and black epoxy.
Both guitars feature roasted Black Limba bodies and necks, with an ebony fretboard on the 7-string and roasted flamed maple on the 6-string.
The 7-string features a Hipshot bridge and stainless steel frets, while the 6-string has a Gotoh bridge and EVO Gold frets. Both guitars are fitted with locking tuners and 81 pickups.
Two guitars built around a material you definitely don’t see every day.
