General Setup Course £150

This course focuses on understanding and carrying out the core elements of a proper guitar setup.

You’ll learn how different adjustments interact, how to spot common problems, and how to make safe, meaningful changes to improve playability.

You’ll cover:

• String choice and tension

• Clean and oil the finger board

• Clean and polish

• Re stringing

• Truss rod function and safe adjustment

• Measuring neck relief correctly

• Action at the nut

• Action at the bridge

• Intonation 

• Cleaning electronics 

• Lubricating contact points

• Diagnosing common setup problems

 

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

• Understand why your guitar feels the way it does

• Make safe setup adjustments without guesswork

• Spot when a guitar needs more than a basic setup

Courses are generally run on Sundays or Thursday evenings.
