Kit Guitar Build £600, two days. 

Ever wanted to build your own guitar but worried about getting it wrong?

This kit build course walks you through the entire process properly, from bare parts to a playable instrument, in a fully equipped workshop.

You’ll gain a real understanding of how guitars are constructed and set up — not just assemble parts.

 

You’ll cover:

  • Kit inspection and preparation

  • Staining the body

  • Fret work

  • Waxing and buffing the body

  • Neck fitting and alignment

  • Hardware installation

  • Wiring basics

  • Final setup and adjustment

  • Troubleshooting common kit issues

 

By the end of the course:

  • You’ll leave with a completed, playable guitar

  • You’ll understand how and why it works

  • You’ll have the confidence to work on future projects and a great guitar to use as a modding platform.

All courses are held at 81 Guitar Works, Norwich.

Courses are generally run on Sundays or Thursday evenings.

This two-day course is designed to take participants through the complete process of building a bolt-on neck guitar kit. All materials required during the course are included in the price. Please note that the guitar kit itself is not included, as costs vary depending on the chosen manufacturer and style.
